Le Mans 2015: Aston Martin Racing Qualifies On Pole In Both GT Classes
Aston Martin Racing has qualified on pole in both GT classes of the 2015 Le Mans with its #99 and #98 V8 Vantage GTEs.
Richie Stanaway, the Le Mans rookie was quick to impress the crowd with the fastest lap and putting the #99 Vantage GTE on pole, though this is his first year racing here.
Stanaway commented saying, "That was the start we were looking for, but there's still a lot of work to do to win the race. The car feels great and we're all on top form so we just need to bring it all together on Saturday."
Pedro Lamy was in the limelight as well, after he set the fastest time in the #98 Vantage GTE. He will start from the third place overall in the race.
In the PRO class, the #97 Aston Martin Vantage will start from the third place and the #95 will start from fifth place while the Gulf Racing car will start from twelfth position.
The qualifying results are as follows:
- #99 GTE PRO - P1 overall / P1 in class
- #97 GTE PRO - P3 overall / P3 in class
- #98 GTE AM - P4 overall / P1 in class
- #95 GTE PRO - P6 overall / P5 in class
- #96 GTE AM - P21 overall / P12 in class
