If you're into vintage automobiles, then you must make it a point to somehow get to Delhi and Gurgaon for the two days of the fifth edition of the 21 Gun Salute Vintage Car Rally. The event promises to be bigger and better this year, with unprecedented participation expected.

Classic cars and motorcycles are to be the stars again this year, and enthusiasts and the uninitiated alike will be treated to a grand display of rich automotive heritage and fascinating history. You can expect to be transported back in time by the dazzling machinery and the sheer scale of the 21 Gun Salute Vintage Car Rally, 2015.

1. Block the dates

The fifth edition of the 21 Gun Salute Vintage Car Rally is scheduled to take place on February 21 and February 22, 2015.

2. History road

The rally will begin at the Red Fort in Delhi and will travel around 50 kilometres to the Leisure Valley Park in Gurgaon.

3. Fit for royalty

For the first time ever in India, there will be 51 Maharajahs present at the rally to grace the occasion and show off their prized pieces of automotive history.

4. Machined with pride

This year's edition of the rally will have never-seen-before participation with 201 vintage cars and 50 motorcycles in attendance.

5. The man behind the show

The 21 Gun Salute Vintage Car rally will be hosted by Mr. Madan Mohan, MD, Deneb and Pollux, a Gurgaon car rental company, and avid vintage car collector and enthusiast. The event will be organised in association with the Heritage Motoring Club of India.

6. Decision makers

The 2015 edition will have a distinguished panel of judges, including renowned car historian and restorer, HH Maharana Sahib Manvendra Singhji Bahadur-the 58th Maharana of Barwani (Chief Judge), Mr. Nitin Dossa-President of the Vintage & Classic Car Club of India, Rajah Muzaffar Ali-multifaceted filmaker, amongst others.

7. Prized possessions

The 21 Gun Salute Vintage Car Rally will have many categories for awards this year, including Guest's Choice, Best of the Show, Best Maintained, Oldest Vintage Car and Concours d'Elegance.

8. Artist tryst

The now well-established event will also feature performances by renowned Sufi singers, the Wadali Brothers, and a more contemporary style act from Black Slade, considered one of the country's most versatile bands. A fashion show is set to take place as well. These acts will serve as a suitable foil to the backdrop of all those impressive cars and motorcycles.

9. Ticket to ride
