2015 Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare Rally: Seventh Edition Flagged Off
The 2015 Dakshin Dare Rally, Maruti Suzuki's annual motorsport held in the south of India was flagged off by Maruti Suzuki in Bangalore.
Being the seventh edition of the Dakshin Dare rally, the event has received over 40 percent of new entrants. Competing this year will be 105 teams comprising of 170 participants.
Participants will cover a total of 2000 km in six days, through Davangere, Shimoga, Hampi, Gulbarga, Chitradurga and Bellary. The rally will end in Hyderabad, which is for the first time.
The rally will be divided into three categories - Endurance, Ultimate Car and Ultimate Bike. It will be over tarmac and uneven rocky routes.
The participants are provided clearance for their vehicles after a strict one day scrutiny which includes various safety checks.
Commenting about the rally, Tarun Garg, the Senior Vice President of National Sales and Network at Maruti Suzuki said, "We believe that the best part of our rallies is that we have no restriction on participation. We encourage all motor enthusiasts to participate and enjoy the thrill of these events."
Apart from Dakshin Dare that takes place in the south of India, Maruti Suzuki conducts the Raid de Himalaya in the north and the Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm in the west of India.
