F1: 2015 German Grand Prix Cancelled

By Rajkamal

As a recent twist of events with Formula One, the German Grand Prix has been cancelled for this year. This decision was taken by the FIA.

For the past several years, Nürburgring and Hockenheim have been hosting races in Germany. A change in ownership made it a problem to host the race in Nürburgring, which was to host the race this year.

As a result, Hockenheim was was supposed to host the race but the owners could not meet their agreement with the Formula One Management company.

After a meeting in Geneva over the weekend, the FIA finally removed the German Grand Prix from this year's calendar. The slot currently remains empty.

But the German fans won't have to travel too far to catch Formula One action since the Austrian Grand Prix is taking place on June 21 at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.
