2015 Geneva Motor Show: Tata Motors Bolt Sport Model Unveiled
The 2015 Geneva Motor Show witnessed participation by Indian automobile giant, Tata Motors. It showcased it all-new hatchback the Bolt in a sporty avatar. The Indian manufacturer displayed its Bolt Sport model with significant updates.
Tata Motors has provided their Bolt Sports with their 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The engineers have tweaked this engine for more performance and a sporty feel. This model generates 120 bhp, along with 170 Nm of peak torque output.
Bolt Sports gets a 5-speed manual transmission and features Tata Motors drive options. It has three driving modes Eco, City and Sport. These provide the driver different driving experiences at the push of a button.
Designers have paid a vital role in lending the Bolt Sport a more sporty avatar. They have redesigned the front grille and bumper, which gives it a sporty stance. Headlights also get slight treatment with projector lights and fog lamps have been re-positioned.
The sport hatchback will ride on new 17-inch alloy wheels and a wider rear bumper. Interior has also been uplifted with the use of premium leather upholstery. Tata Motors will provide a touch screen entertainment system by Harman, the vehicle will also get a sunroof.
In terms of safety the Tata Bolt Sports will feature dual airbags,corner stability control, anti-lock braking system and speed-sensing audio control. The Indian automobile giant will offer this sporty avatar in the country by 2015-end. Bolt is a global product and Tata Motors will be offering their hatchback in several countries soon.
