2015 Geneva Motor Show: Suzuki iM-4 Mini 4x4 Concept Revealed
Suzuki is present at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and is showcasing their compact 4x4 model, which is being called iM-4 Mini 4x4 Concept. It has been designed on an all-new platform to improve weight reduction, better handling and improved rigidity.
Japanese automobile giant explains that this is their vision of a compact SUV for the near future. They have followed a theme with the iM-4 concept, which is ‘Shape the Inspiration'. It is a personal vehicle that will create new ways to have off-road fun.
In the images Suzuki iM-4 concept may look small, however, it is 3,693mm long. The compact 4x4 vehicle is longer than most compact sedans on offer currently. They have not confirmed the engine specifications under the hood, it is expected to receive a frugal 1.2-litre DUALJET engine from the manufacturer.
The vehicle will drive on 18-inch wheels and will feature a 4x4 drive option. It has a strong presence for a compact SUV. They have borrowed design cues from several of its previous models to achieve a familiarity with Suzuki products.
This will be a great product if it comes to India, where sales of compact SUVs is thriving as of now. Suzuki has a strong emotional connection with Indians and if they could strike the right chords, just as they did with their Celerio, the Japanese manufacturer has a sure winner at its disposal.
