2015 Formula One Singapore GP Pre-Qualifying Analysis
Formula One action resumes on 19th September, 2015 with Qualifying at 18:30 IST. It will be followed by Raceday on 20th September, 2015 at 17:30 IST and it will be a night race.
Singapore GP is one of the few night races that is held under lights. Formula One drivers will doing 61 laps of Marina Bay Street Circuit, it was the very first track to organise a night race.
Free Practice one was dominated by Mercedes duo of Hamilton and Rosberg. Following them was Daniel Ricciardo and Scuderia Ferrari duo of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen.
Free Practice two, however, was a different scene as Daniil Kvyat was fastest in his Red Bull Renault. Teammate Daniel Ricciardo was third fastest and splitting them was Kimi Raikkonen in his Ferrari.
Sebastian Vettel was fifth fastest for Ferrari and looks promising for tomorrow. Lewis hamilton was fourth fastest and Rosberg was seventh fastest around Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Fernando Alonso pushed his McLaren Honda to its limits and was eighth fastest. Jenson Button also made improvements and was up not 14th place. It will be interesting to see how they do in qualifying session.
Singapore GP is going to be interesting in our opinion as for the first time Mercedes is on the back foot. It would be a great morale booster if McLaren Honda manage to break into the top ten once again.
