ZF Services Product And Service Comes To India
ZF Friedrichshafen or ZF Group is a German engineering and manufacturing company that is a world leader in automotive driveline and chassis technology and related services. The company offers caters to 121 production companies in 26 countries through products sold under Sachs, Lemförder, Boge, ZF Lenksysteme, and ZF Parts brands.
ZF Group has announced that recognising the potential of rapidly growing passenger car segment in India it plans to significantly strengthen its presence in the country by providing 66 new components in the Lemförder range, with a target of capturing a 12 percent market share by 2016-17.
The range of products includes steering and suspension components from Lemförder for the popular mass segment cars such as Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ford and General Motors.
"Keeping these factors in mind; ZF Services has strengthened its distribution through Authorized Parts Dealers and Services Partners in India. This has significantly augmented wider availability and support for the aftermarket products and services from ZF. The extension in the product offering from ZF reiterates ZF's commitment to the Indian market." ZF says in a statement.
Mr. Vijay Khorgade, Head of ZF Services in India stresses that "There is great potential in the Indian market. While this year has been difficult, we believe that the long-term prospects are bright. ZF Services entry into the mass passenger segment intends to tap the huge market potential. We are confident that with our strong product brands, we will be in the best position to service customers in the aftermarket for the Passenger Cars segment. ZF is further developing ourselves in the diverse segments, bringing in new and technologically advanced product solutions and service offerings into the automotive and non-automotive market in a strategically important market like India."
