Toyota i-Road Testing On Road; Pictures & Details
Toyota had showcased a three wheeler concept at previous years Tokyo Motor Show. They have prepared a production model and will begin testing the electric vehicle in urban conditions.
Toyota will call their three wheel electric vehicle 'i-Road'. It is a personal mobility vehicle and the Japanese manufacturer will begin testing them in Tokyo.
They will test 10 i-Road vehicles and will use 20 people, from whom they can attain feedback. They will begin testing from 24th of March, 2014.

Toyota i-Road
Toyota i-Road will begin testing in urban conditions. The three wheel electric vehicle will have many color options and will be a personal mobility solution. They will begin testing from 24th March in Tokyo. 10 vehicles will be used in the test with 20 people who will have the opportunity to test them.

The i-Road is sleek and slim, it will be an electric vehicle and will have three wheels. It will be perfect for personal mobility in and around the city. It has a nice round headlight and bike like indicators.

Toyota has designed the i-Road to look highly aerodynamic. It looks trendy and stylish, with the sloping and sharply pulled back design. The front two wheels in the pic have disc brakes, which will be a great safety addition.

The i-Road could have done with better OVRM's. The wheels look trendy and will be light. The three piece glass on the side emphasises the design of the vehicle.

The rear end of i-Road has a single wheel with a disc brake. The turn and brake indicators are placed high for best visibility. It has leaning attitude, while cornering, which is specially engineered by Toyota.

The interior can accommodate two full sized adults. The console of the i-Road is fully digital and simple to use. It is targeted to customers, who want to upgrade from their scooters and motorcycles, without losing the bike experience.

Toyota i-Road Details
Toyota's i-Road is 2.4 metres long, it will have a top speed of 37mph. It will way just 300kg and will have a range of 30 miles, which is achievable if you do not exceed 18.6mph. It will have two electric motors which will be powered by a Lithium-ion battery.
