Toyota Etios Cross To Be Officially Launched On 9th Of May
The Indian market is witnessing launches after launches of new vehicles. Toyota will be launching their new crossover the Etios Cross in India on the 9th of May. The crossover is based on their Etios Liva hatchback.
Toyota dealers have begun taking orders for their new Etios Cross. The crossover was first showcased to the world at the Auto Expo held in Noida, New Delhi.
The Japanese manufacturer has utilised the Liva hatchback as a base and has given the Etios Cross a sporty and rugged look. The crossover will be going under heavy changes on the inside as well as on the outside.

Toyota will be providing the Etios Cross with roof rails, side cladding, redesigned front grille, fog lamps, OVRM integrated with the indicators and diamond cut alloy wheels. The crossover will look as sporty as it can, but the main question will be how it performs on rough terrain.
Toyota will be providing the Etios Cross with three engine choices, the first will be a 1.2-litre petrol engine, producing 78 bhp. There will also be a more powerful 1.5-litre petrol engine on offer, which will generate 88 bhp. For customers who prefer diesel powered vehicles there will be a 1.4-litre diesel engine, which will produce 67 bhp.

The Etios Cross will be packed with features that were not available on Toyota's hatchback. It is expected to get a 2 DIN audio system with Bluetooth, audio controls on the steering wheel, piano color interior and premium fabric seats.
The Etios Cross will face competition from Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster and the soon coming Fiat Avventura. To compete with the rest we expect the base variant of Toyota to be offered somewhere between INR 5,00,000 to 6,00,000.
