Toyota Corolla Sells 1.22 Million Cars In 2013
Toyota's Corolla was the world's best-selling car in 2013. The Japanese company has confirmed it sold 1.22 million cars in 2013. As time goes on, the reliable Corolla has only been getting more popular.
The Japanese car manufacturer has reported 40.72 million units sold until February, 2014. This record has been achieved as per the cumulative sales of the complete Corolla range

The current generation of the Corolla has been an instant hit around the world. The Toyota Corolla is available in over 150 countries and is still helping the brand achieve an increase in sales. Toyota is currently recording an increase of 5% year-on-year.
Toyota motor sales were calculated in the USA; they utilized the expertise of Independent Polk New Vehicle Registration data from IHS Automotive. The company records over 96% of all vehicles sold globally.

The registration data has confirmed that the Toyota Corolla was their best selling vehicle. In 2013, the Japanese company recorded a registration of 1,098,524 vehicles.
The record takes into account the Corolla saloon and other variations bearing the Corolla badge. Cars like the Corolla Axio, Corolla Altis and Corolla EX are sold in Japan and other world markets. The Corolla-badged Fielder and Rumion hatchbacks were also accounted for in the record.
