TomTom Start Series Smart Portable Navigation Device Launched In India
TomTom, the leading automotive navigation equipment manufacturer, has launched its Start Series smart Portable Navigation Device (PND) series in India - Start 20 and Start 25.
These are primarily differentiated by their screen size, which measure 4.3-inch and 5-inch respectively. It's fixed and semi-fixed dual mount allows it to be mounted on the dashboard or the windscreen.
These Start Series gives seamless navigation across 7300 cities and towns in India, minus roaming costs as maps are stored in the internal storage. In addition, TomTom provides free lifetime maps with its Start Series, making them very economical to own. Maps are updated four times a year, which will be available for free.

The TomTom IQ Routes technology calculates the quickest routes and most accurate arrival times, thus helping in saving time and fuel.
An interesting feature is the Map Share community of TomTom, which allows drivers to personalise the TomTom map on their own device and also share and receive map changes with the Map Share community around the world.
Help Me! emergency menu is another useful feature that lists local emergency service information from hospitals to roadside assistance. Whereas Help Me, Where am I? feature locates the driver's current and precise location whenever needed.
Priced at Rs. 9,499 for Start 20 and Rs. 10,999 for Start 25, these GPS portable navigation devices are available online and at car accessories stores across India.

Besides giving you the ability to position your smartphone on the dash or windscreen, in landscape or portrait orientation, and charging it, TomTom In-Car Phone Mount also has a built-in 2 watt speaker for clear navigation and hands-free calling.
The device has advanced noise and echo cancellation system that dramatically reduces background noise for the caller and removes ambient noise for the driver.
