The World Has 53 Years Of Oil Left
The top automobile manufacturers are finding alternate sources of energy to power vehicles. Currently most are using electricity or hybrid options. There is a reason for the frantic search of new energy sources as Beyond Petroleum (BP) claims there is just enough oil to last for the coming 53.3 years.
The petroleum company claims there is only 44.2 billion barrels. This means most of us will see oil prices touch the sky, however, on the positive we will most likely see and drive the alternative powered vehicles. This sounds scary, however, it was a known fact and it is time to face the music.
In a way it is for the better as we will be forced to find new fuel cells and as we start all over again, there is a possibility to find cleaner fuels. The issue arises, what if we do not come up with an alternative before that time? There is a huge possibility that the entire world could come to a standstill.

Everyone on earth depends of oil in one way or another. We need fuel for cooking purposes, heating and several other basic needs. However, the need of the hour is to create an alternate fuel source and not produce more smaller capacity engines, that consume less fuel. The vehicle may be efficient, however, with our ever growing population that will only help in depleting our oil reserves.
Manufacturers are trying almost every option available to be future ready. BMW is ready with its futuristic battery powered vehicles. Audi was rumored to be working on hydrogen cell cars. UK scientists have devised a way to power vehicle using ammonia, which is cheap and easily available.
The inaugural Formula E championship is expected to come and help road vehicles. The championship will create new technology and components that will be tested in Formula E and will eventually be used in regular passenger vehicles.
