Skoda Yeti To Get A Facelift For 2014
Skoda will showcase its facelifted Yeti at the Delhi Auto Expo this February, however the launch of the car will be later into the year. The Yeti will be offered in two drivetrains both manual. The 4x2 option will feature a 5-speed manual and a 2-litre diesel engine, churning power of 110PS. It will be front wheel driven.
The 4x4 option in the Yeti will get a 2.0 litre diesel engine but will achieve higher power and torque. The engine will produce 140PS, while the engine will be matched with a 6-speed manual.
An automatic version of the Yeti is not yet confirmed, however would be a welcome addition. Skoda officials would love to offer an automatic option, however the demand wouldn't justify the introduction of an auto version.

The new Yeti is similar to the outgoing model, mechanically. Other than the engine, the chassis too will not be overhauled. The car will get new and better looking headlamps, a front bumper and redesigned bonnet design. The Yeti will get Skoda's new family fascia grille. In the interior only the design of the steering wheel has been changed and looks similar to the new Superb.
Expect prices of the Yeti to be unchanged. The base variant of the Yeti sporting a 110PS engine and 4x2 drive will cost a tad over Rs. 15 lakh. The top trim of the 4x4 option will cost around Rs 19 lakh.
