Skoda Rapid Special Edition ; Double Launch
Skoda has unveiled two limited edition of the Rapid hatchback. Each car will feature unique and extra equipment worth thousands of pounds.
First is the brilliant Rapid SE Connect, which is based on the Rapid 1.2-litre TSI 86PS SE. However additional items alone in car are worth an astounding £3,665.
The enhanced specs include either one of two metallic paint choices, which is Brilliant Silver or Denim Blue, as well as 16-inch ‘Antia' alloy wheels, rear parking sensors and an Amundsen satellite navigation with DAB digital radio.
The Rapid SE Connect comes with a price tag of £12,990 on road and only 800 vehicles will be up for sale.
The second limited edition car from Skoda is the more appealing Rapid Sport, which is based on the 1.2-litre TSI 105PS SE model. However, extra equipment worth £1,250, include 17-inch ‘Ray' black alloy wheels, sunset glass, front fog lights, sports seats, steel pedals, black door mirrors and a rear spoiler.
The Rapid Sport, however will only be available in a single paint scheme, Candy White. It will attract a price tag of £15,630 on road, 200 units only will be built and made available to UK customers, maintaining exclusivity.
