Skoda CitiJet A Sporty Convertible
Skoda have been working on a convertible called the CitiJet, which is based upon the CitiGo compact car. The Czech car manufacturer will showcase their new car at Worthersee.
Worthesee is an important place for GTI fans as they prepare their special cars and concepts for Volkswagen. All the sub-brands under VW prepare something special for the parent company.
Skoda has entrusted the task of preparing a concept CitiJet car to a few of their apprentices. They have utilized the CitiGo for their base and have created a sporty convertible out of it.

The CitiJet by Skoda is a sporty two-seater convertible. Since there is no roof, it gets a rollbar for safety. The car will drive using 16-inch alloy wheels and a custom made spoiler is added for downforce and stability.
The CitiJet will sport a metallic blue colour combined with white. Interiors too have been revealed; there will be a three-spoke steering wheel. The handbrake and gear knob will get leather treatment and sport seats will be included. The instrumentation will receive a sporty red hue.
Skoda's CitiJet will be powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder engine, which will produce 75 horsepower and is the same mill seen in the CitiGo.

The CitiJet is only a concept prepared for showcasing at Worthersee and will not go into production. However, the upside is a few of the apprentices will be acquired by Skoda and this was a great platform for them to show both Skoda and us, what we could expect in the future.
The CitiJet will be showcased at Worthersee on 28th to 31st of May, 2014. The event is open to all and people can check the CitiJet in person.
Skoda Board Member for HR, Bohdan Wojnar explains,"The Skoda CitiJet is an emotional vehicle study that is sure to catch the attention of the visitors at Worthersee."
He further added,"It is fantastic to see how committed and passionate our trainees have been in working on this project."
