Skoda 1000 MB Celebrates 50 Years
Skoda has been manufacturing cars for the world for almost 119 years. This is a great milestone achieved by any automobile manufacturer. It is evident that at least one of their many cars will have been close to half a century. The Czech 1000 MB classic celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Skoda had built 4,43,000 units of their legendary classic car the 1000 MB. Out of the total cars that were manufactured, approximately more than half were exported around the world.

The 1000 MB was technologically sound even during earlier times. It was a benchmark in terms of performance, comfort and technology.
Skoda provided their first 1000 MB models with a rear engine along with rear wheel drive. It had a unibody construction, which was a first of its kind in that era.

Skoda 1000 MB is an iconic model for the Czech brand, it has achieved legendary status and is popular among classic car collectors.
There is a reason and meaning behind Skoda naming their car 1000 MB. The 1000 represents the 1.0 litre engine which powered their compact car. MB stood for Mlada Boleslav, the place where Skoda was located and build their 100 MB then.
