Sir Jack Brabham F1 Legend Passes Away At 88
Sir Jack Brabham, a Formula One legend passed away today at his residence in Gold Coast, Australia. The Formula One legend was in bad health over the last few days however, it is being said that he passed away peacefully without any struggle. He was 88.
Sir Jack Brabham won the Formula One championship in the years 1958, 1960 as well as 1966. He owned his own F1 team and is the only individual to compete and win with his own team in Formula One. He also was the very first driver to be knighted from the field of motorsports.

Sir Jack Brabham was born in Australia on the 2nd of April, 1926. He competed in his final race during the 1970 Formula One season. He won just won fourteen races and was on the podium 31 times. His first win came at the iconic Monaco Grand Prix in 1959, while his final race win was achieved at the South African Grand Prix in 1970.
The F1 legend leaves behind his beloved wife Lady Margaret along with their three sons Geoff, Gary and Davis. The motorsport fraternity will surely miss Sir Jack Brabham. All three of his sons competed in motorsports and Geoff and David have won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. David's son currently competes in the British Formula Ford series championship.

Sir Jack Brabham will be dearly missed by his wife and children. He will also be missed by many of the motorsport greats and the entire racing fraternity. He was last seen showcasing a car that he built just a day before his death, on 18th of May, 2014.
