This continuation of the partnership confirms the success of BMW i series of cars. The customer demand for the BMW i3 is high. In addition, in the first half of 2014, the BMW Group already sold around 5,400 BMW i3 cars. The demand for the i8 is also higher than what the company had planned.

The BMW Group relies on a total of 20 different South Korean suppliers. This Asian country will be one of the biggest purchasing markets for the BMW Group in the future, specially for innovative IT technologies.
