Saleen Reveal Electric Car By Tesla
Saleen is known to produce cars that are fast and aerodynamic. Everyone was in shock when the company decided it was going to produce an electric vehicle. They have now confirmed they will work on Tesla Model S and prepare a modified version.
Saleen CEO Steve Saleen explains his company will produce an electric car, which will be radical and appeal to majority of people. It will be the first of its kind when it hits the road.
Saleen have revealed a sketch of their upcoming electric vehicle and it does not look like a typical electric car. It does bear a strong resemblance to the Tesla Model S though, obviously.
Saleen hasn't yet decided on a name for their car. Their electric vehicle will receive aerodynamic upgrades, something the company is known for. The front grille and bumper will be resculpted by the American company.
Saleen will also make their car more sporty by adding side skirts and a lower rear bumper along with a diffuser. They will also use carbon fibre components in certain places for further weight reduction.
Saleen will also provide their electric car with their signature wheels and a special paint job. Inside the cabin, they will provide leather upholstery. The leather will have red contrasting stitching along with Saleen logo on the headrest.
The American company will also provide 'Mechanical Enhancements'. This will provide a considerable increase in performance. Saleen claims it will better the Model S impressive figures of 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed in excess of 130 mph.
Saleen plans to launch their version of Model S by this summer, we are waiting to see what the final product looks like.
