Sahara Force India F1 Team To Host MIA Race Engineering School
There is only one Indian owned team in Formula One championship, they are Sahara Force India. The racing outfit was formed by their Team Chief Dr. Vijay Mallya, who is also a part owner of the team. They are currently doing well in Formula One and are consistently gaining points.
Force India is currently placed below Ferrari and McLaren Mercedes, with just a single point between them and McLaren. They would like to also finish this year ahead of Ferrari, however, the Italian outfit is 53 points ahead and is a mammoth task.
This year Sahara Force India will host the MIA School of Race Engineering, it will be held on 27th to 28th of September at Silverstone. The race school will held at Force India's headquarter at Silverstone.
Chris Aylett, CEO of the MIA, commented, "We are delighted to be working with Sahara Force India to deliver our first School of Race Engineering using F1 simulation. It will allow our engineers of tomorrow to not only develop their knowledge."
he further added, "They also have a rare opportunity to take part in a tutorial with Sahara Force India's Vehicle Science department, within the F1 simulator, which will be a fascinating experience and opportunity for these future race engineers."
MIA stands for the Motorsport Industry Association, they are the world's leading trade association for motorsport and engineering service. It is aimed at young individuals, who want to develop a future in race engineering. The school is open to all from around the world, it provides a platform to individuals in an competitive industry.
