Renault And Nissan Sale Record ; 2013
The joint venture between Nissan and Renault created a record selling 8.3 million vehicles in 2013. Coming in at fourth place among the global automakers.The duo joined hands in an effort to bring down costs.
Nissan globally sold 5.1 million vehicles this year, a 3.3% rise. The French manufacturer reported it sold 2.63 million units this 2013.
The duo among with their groups sold 8.3 million units in 2013, sales include Russian AvtoVAZ. The top three manufacturers where Toyota, General Motors and Volkswagen.

Toyota reported selling 9.98 million units last year, recording highest annual sales ever. Owing to the weaker Yen and high demand in the United States as well as China. General Motors record sales of 9.71 million units in 2013. Volkswagen, the German based manufacturer sold 9.5 million units.
Nissan and Renault partnership is planning to boost their production, research and development in an attempt to save $3.8 billion yearly.
Renault is Nissan's biggest stakeholder and are chaired by Carlos Ghosn. The pair operate independent of each other, however procurement of parts and engine development is shared.
