Ola Launches App To Finds Rickshaws That Charge By Meter

Recently cab services has been in the news for all wrong reasons. There is now an app introduced by Ola cab service, which helps individuals get rickshaws that charge according to a meter.

This service by Ola cabs has been introduced in Delhi-NCR and will be introduced in several other cities as well. Individuals who want to avail of this service will have to pay a convenience charge of ten Rupees towards the app.

A similar app was earlier introduced by the transport department. It was called Pooch-O(hindi for Ask), it was free of cost and did not involve convenience charge. There are certain advantages though that Ola provides for their service and thus, the minimal charge.

They will provide details of the rickshaw driver to individuals opting for this service. Ola cab will also provide a rough estimate of the time it would take from pick up point to final destination. The drivers of rickshaws will be provided with smartphones to accurately receive booking details.

Ola Cabs has confirmed that individuals will have to pay the money to the rickshaw driver. The use of Ola Money has not been made available for their rickshaw service. This new system is not based on their radio taxi service and claims to be different.

This new service is excellent for people who are new to a city. With the use of Ola the chance of them being cheated by a rickshaw driver is significantly reduced. It is expected to be safer option than what is currently available in Delhi NCR.
