NSDC And Tata Join To Teach Skill Development Programs
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), has agreed for an MoU with Tata Motors to develop various skills in the automobile sector.
Students in class 11 and 12 will be thought automotive skills in a few government schools as a vocal subject for schools identified by Tata Motors.
Dilip Chenoy, MD and CEO of NSDC said, "This is another major step towards bridging this skill gap and integrating employability skill with the school education. Being the expert in the category, we are certain that we will see a fruitful collaboration with TML in this sector."
This pilot program, will be introduced in 5 schools, teaching 50 students each. A total of 250 students will undergo this program and if it is a success, a full scale program will be launched.

Ravindra Pisharody, the Executive Director for Tata Motors said, "The move to collaborate with NSDC is to create employment opportunities for educated youth of the country by providing them with skillful practical knowledge of vehicle operations and service."
This program will help students get placed and also, Tata Motors will help train the students to drive by setting up driving schools in various locations with the help of the State Government.
