Updates to the design are likely to come in the form of new headlamp design, revised grille and new front bumpers. But the changes on the inside are likely to be more extensive, along with the addition of new features and amenities.

The 2014 Nissan Sunny will also gain a new XV Premium trim level that will come with four airbags and reverse parking camera. The existing petrol and diesel engines, along with the 5 speed manual and CVT transmission options will be retained without any changes.
The new Sunny aside, Nissan is also said to be considering retaining the older model and offering it as a low cost offering, much like what the automaker has done with the Micra Active and Fiat has done with the Linea Classic.
The new low cost model, with fewer equipments and other cost cutting measures could also be called Sunny Active and will reportedly be offered in three petrol and one diesel variant. If indeed Nissan launches a Sunny Active it would be priced low enough to go head on against compact sedans such as Honda Amaze and Maruti DZire. A spacious vehicle such as the Sunny for the price of a compact sedan certainly sounds good. We'll have the answer early next month.
