Nissan PlayStation GT Academy Bangalore Qualifying Rounds Underway

Nissan PlayStation GT Academy has arrived in the IT city of Bangalore to conduct qualifying rounds. The virtual racing/talent hunt began here yesterday (May 15, 2014) in the Atrium of Mantri Mall, in Malleswaram. The rounds will go on till May 18.

This is the first time Nissan PlayStation GT Academy has come to India and qualifying rounds are being held since February in five cities across the country, one after the other.

GT Academy, the award-winning driver discovery and development program has sequentially completed its qualifying rounds in Delhi (NCR), Mumbai and Hyderabad in February, March and April respectively.

Till now, about 3000 people have participated in Nissan PlayStation GT Academy. The quickest lap time in India has emerged from Mumbai. This participant completed the round in 1:59:357.

Fourteen participants with the best times from the qualifying rounds will go head-to-head in a National Final. Six finalists from the fourteen will be shortlisted to take part in the International Race Camp at Silverstone in the UK.

The ‘virtual' competition on simulators will be open for participation at Mantri mall from 11.00 AM to 8.30 PM from May 15th to May 18th, 2014.
