Nissan India Cuts Ties With Hover Automotive; To Maintain Own Business
Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL), the fully owned Indian subsidiary of Nissan Motor Company today announced that it will take full responsibility of its entire operations in the country with immediate effect.

This means, henceforth, Nissan India will take control of sales, marketing and distribution of its branded vehicles and parts. The automaker has cancelled its nearly 6 year long partnership with Hover Automotive India Pvt. Ltd, which, until now, was responsible for all of Nissan's operations in the country.

As for Nissan India's new business structure, it will be announced in due course.

Commenting about the matter Kenichiro Yomura, Nissan President, India Operations, said: "Nissan is now at a point of maturity in India where the time is right to establish our own marketing and distribution operations. Nissan's priority will be to ensure a smooth transition from current operations. We remain committed to our customers and will continue to deliver high quality products and services."

Datsun, the Nissan owned budget brand will also operate under NMIPL. Datsun GO, the company's first hatchback that's scheduled to go on sale shortly, will be sold through Nissan dealerships, through a showroom-in-showroom format.
