Nissan GT Academy Online Qualifying
Nissan GT academy is an affordable way to find new talent coming from unexpected places. The Japanese car manufacturer is doing an excellent job of providing youngsters with a platform to showcase their talents behind the wheel of a car.
To participate in the GT Academy Nissan does not charge individuals a penny. Though they have limited the entrants from repeating. Individuals are allowed to demonstrate their skill in a simulator. The best times by participants will be picked to compete on a grander scale.
They have also setup an online qualifying system. A participant who plans to participate in the online competition need to have a Sony PlayStation and an official version of Gran Turismo 6. The live event begins at 08:00BST/ 12:00PST/ 16:00 JST.
The winners of the online qualification from Australia, India, Mexico, Middle East and Thailand will compete in the National Final event, which will be held in their individual countries.
The individual winners will then participate in the International Race Camp, which will be held at the Silverstone circuit. It will be followed by a seven-day bootcamp, which will test the contenders on track as well as off tack. After which, the 2014 GT Academy champion will be declared.
"I am very happy that qualifying has now begun for a sixth season of GT Academy, kick starting our world-wide search to unearth another gamer with the talent to become a real life racer," explains Kazunori Yamauchi, President of Polyphony Digital.
He also said,"Every GT6 gamer will have the chance to develop their skills in a series of stunning Nissan NISMO vehicles and compare lap times with their friends while competing for a coveted spot at the next stage of the competition."
The winner will have to go through a three month long training program. This will help them prepare for track action in the Dubai 24 hour race, which will be held in January, 2015. They will then have the opportunity to show the world why they are NISMO Athletes.
