Nissan Appoint Guillaume Sicard As President Of India Operations
Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan has a sizeable presence in the Indian market. Their most popular product in Indian market is the Duster compact SUV. They have recently launched an AWD version of the Duster, thus making it a more lucrative buy.
Today we have news that Nissan has appointed a new President of India Operations. The Japanese manufacturer has called for Guillaume Sicard , who was earlier working with Nissan as their Deputy President.
Guillaume Sicard the new President of India Operations will play his role from 1st of October, 2014. He will directly report to Takashi Hata, Senior Vice President of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd., who is in charge of Africa, Middle East and India.
Current President of India Operations Nissan, Kenichiro Yomura will be returning to Japan. He has been given the role of General Manager, Africa Business Management Department, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. and will take charge from 1st October, 2014.
Takashi Hata, Senior Vice President of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd., expressed, "Guillaume Sicard will make a significant contribution to Nissan, Sicard will take an encompassing role and lead our continued focus on delivering the best products and ensuring satisfaction for our customers in India. Our goal is to become a major player in this important and growing market."
He further added, "At the same time, I would like to thank Kenichiro Yomura for his valuable contribution in India. Under his direction we have grown our sales and launched key products including the Terrano, the new Sunny and the Datsun GO."
Nissan India will also be announcing soon a new Managing Director for India. Sicard is expected to grow Nissan and Datsun sales network in India. He also has the task of launching new products in a tough market.
