FMSCI Elections: J Prithviraj Elected As The New President
The much awaited results of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) presidential elections have been announced. The new President of India's motorsports governing body is J Prithviraj while the new Vice President is Tutu Dhawan. Prithviraj replaces Vicky Chandhok as the President of the organization.
Also set up is the new Governing Council for the period 2014-15. Two new member clubs have also joined FMSCI -Performance Cars racing Trust and Meco Motosports.

J Prithviraj, the newly elected FMSCI president has been a part of Indian motorsports for the past 20 years. Mainly in the rallying scene, where he has been both a participant and an organizer. His other credentials include serving as a councillor for the body since 2007 and as the Vice President in the past for two years.
Speaking about his election as the new President J Prithviraj, who hails from Coimbatore, said: "I am honoured to be elected FMSCI President by my fellow councillors. Firstly I would like to thank the outgoing President and team for all their efforts over the years. As part of the last council our biggest achievement was bringing Formula One to India."
"Now our role will be to ensure we maximise the benefits of that to build national motorsport events across the country. The newly elected council is extremely excited of the task that lies ahead and I am confident that this is the perfect team to take the sport forward."
