Mercedes C-Class Recall Tail Light Issue
Mercedes-Benz has ordered a recall of their 2008 to 2011 C-Class models in the United States. Roughly 252,867 of their C-Class models have been called back.
The recall is due to a faulty tail light which, spans across the C300, C300 4Matic, C350 along with the C63 AMG. A report also suggests that 31,000 Mercedes vehicles could be affected in Canada too.
Mercedes-Benz has reported that no serious damage or accidents have been caused due to the faulty tail light. It could create a problem if the other vehicles are travelling too close and do not realise when the front car stops.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, has reported that Mercedes C-Class vehicles from 26th January, 2007 to 13th July, 2011, have a faulty tail light connection.

Mercedes will fix the issue by replacing the light holder and corroded connectors if needed. The repair will commence from either August or September, depending when parts are ready.
So far there is no notice if there is an issue with cars that are present in India. We will be reporting further if there are any issues with Mercedes India cars.
