Mercedes-Benz India Season 2 'Young Star Driver Programme'
Mercedes-Benz India has been searching all over India for motorsport talent among the youth. The German manufacturer calls its contest 'Young Star Driver Programme'. This is the second season of the contest in India and has witnessed great success.
Over 5970 participants applied out of which only 24 were chosen for the final rounds. The programme seen participation from over 100 towns of India and roughly 60 percent of them were from smaller towns. The winner will have the opportunity to compete travel to Germany and train there.
Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said "Mercedes-AMG was born on the racetrack and we are proud of the brand's global association with different forms of motorsports and our immaculate track record which spells excellence."

He further added, "The winners of the ‘Mercedes-Benz Young Star Driver Programme Season 2' will earn global exposure by working with the best talents from international racing circuit."
The Young Star Driver Programme Season 2 final round was held at the Buddh International Circuit. The finalists competed on track against each other in Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG. The German manufacturer's first performance focused compact sedan for India.

This year the winners of Mercedes-Benz Young Star Driver Programme Season 2 are in third place came Ali Yawar Hayat from Bangalore. In second place was G Vikas Anand from Chennai, while in first place was Raj Bharath from Bangalore. They winner receives training from Mercedes in Germany for PRO-Training. While the runners up get Basic and Advanced training in India.
Vicky Chandhok, expressed, "My team and I are glad to be associated with Mercedes-Benz Young Star Driver Programme for the second year as it helps us to scout and nurture the best motorsport talent in the country and provide them an international exposure to support their racing dreams."
