Mercedes-Benz India Celebrate 120 Years Of Motorsport
Mercedes-Benz has had a positive year in India, they have launched several products this year. These include even their power packed AMG series of vehicles. The German luxury automobile manufacturer has high hopes from India and have successfully launched their new products.
On Sunday 9th November, 2014 Mercedes-Benz India celebrated their 120 years in motorsport. The German manufacturer organised a Classic Car Rally in Mumbai. They also celebrated the very first Formula One World Constructor's Championship.
Present at the flag off was Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India. He expressed, "Motorsport is fascinating and fun. Its energy, excitement and ever-changing narrative delights millions. Motorsport also brings people together - in peace and transcending all national borders."

He further added, "Mercedes-Benz's 120 Years of Motorsport history showcases a unique kaleidoscope of glittering success in different motor racing categories. Our celebration today is even more special because this year Mercedes-Benz has won its first FIA F1 ‘World Constructor's Championship."
There was a wide range of classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles that began the rally from NCPA. They halted and passed by several significant locations of Mumbai like Peddar road, Horniman Circle and Bandra Worli Sea Link. There were large crowds cheering and admiring these classics.
Classics from Mercedes-Benz included Pontons like W120s, Fintails like W110, W111, W124 and W108 enthralled spectators. The German manufacturer first set foot into motorsports back in 1894. Their first victory came in 1908 and have since then won several titles.
