Mercedes-Benz C-Class Four-Door Coupe A Possibility
The high-seller Mercedes-Benz C-Class range is likely to get new variants or models going forward. The German automaker recently revealed the C-Class Wagon, an extended estate version of the C-Class.
The C-Class is currently offered in four-door sedan, two-door coupe and Estate versions, along with the AMG version of the sedan. Going forward, the car could even gain a cabriolet body form.
Thomas Weber, the company's head of development has said that, beside these, there could be some other ideas for future expansion of the C-Class family.

This is likely to come in the form of a four-door coupe. A relatively new term, four door coupes can be generally differentiated by a sloping roof-line towards the end, compared to sedans and a more sporty styling.
A four-door coupe would be influenced by the styling of the CLS-Class four-door coupe and it would compete with the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe. Weber has also said that there is place in between the CLA-Class & CLS-Class, further hinting at a C-Class based four-door coupe.
The fact that the C-Class is built on the flexible modular rear-wheel-drive architecture, which makes it possible to fit different body styles, and that it is manufactured in four production facilities around the globe, makes it an ideal car to expand upon.
"We are intensively looking at remaining niches that will provide us with profitability and growth," Weber told AutoExpress.
