Mazda Hit All Time High Profits
Japanese automobile giant Mazda has recorded an all-time high profit from its sales. It is the highest profit seen by the company since its inception 94 years ago. They reported a profit of 1.88 Billion USD, this was an increase of 238% over the previous year.
Mazda's previous best profits were achieved in 2008 however, in 2014 they have earned a profit of 12% over 2008. Even the Japanese companies revenue, bet earning and global sales witnessed a boost in sales in the previous fiscal year.
The European market has been going through a slump. However, Mazda has been doing good in European countries and witnessed a 25% bump in sales, which translates into 163,000 vehicles.
The profits further added up thanks to Great Britain whose sales jumped up to 35%. Mazda also witnessed an increase in demand from Germany, where their sales further grew by 20%. These are the two largest markets in Europe and Mazda cars have done extremely well here.
Mazda also seen an increase in sales in it's own country, where sales went up by 13%. They also witnessed an increase in sales by 12% in China.
Mazda has recently begun providing cars in North America and their sales haven't been accounted for as it was a minor 5% increase. United States of America, Canada and Mexico account to 391,000 vehicles, which is decent but not great.
Mazda has launched their latest products in the three markets, the CX-5, Mazda6 and Mazda3. They haven't been accepted by the new markets as expected. Mazda officials believe the 5% increase is a good platform to work on for further success.
