Maruti Suzuki Young Driver Of The Year 2014 Is Pranay Agarwal
India's largest manufacturer and seller of four-wheelers Maruti Suzuki takes part in several customer related activities. Their most popular activity is the Young Driver of the Year title.The winner of 2014 edition stood a chance to win an Alto 800.
The final round has gone through an a winner has been declared. Maruti Suzuki Young Driver 2014 is Pranay Agarwal. He rides in Hyderabad and had a task of competing with 29 other contenders for the title. The final test was held at institute of Driving and Traffic Research.
Pranay Agarwal from Hyderabad has now proved he is the safer driver in India. To win the contest he had to pass online quizzes and skilled driving tests, which was judged by IDTR trainers. The event witnessed participation from over 42 cities of India with only 30 making it to the fins round.
Mahesh Rajoria, General Manager, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., explained, "Being India's most trusted car maker, we also believe in creating trustworthy drivers in the nation. Therefore Maruti Suzuki Young Driver makes an apt platform to send across the message of safe driving."
Abhishek Mishra from Gurgaon was the first runner up, while Karanveer Singh of Jalandhar was second runner up. The title of 2014 safest driver in the country goes to Pranay Agarwal, who was added a Maruti Suzuki Alto 800.
Hormazd Sorabjee, Editor, Autocar India, commented, "While passion and performance are usually associated with driving, we believe precaution is a factor that must not be ignored."
He further added, "Young Driver is our attempt at driving deep the message and method of conscious driving with the aim to make Indian roads safer for all. India accounts for about 10 percent of the road accident fatalities across the globe."
