Maruti Suzuki SX4 S-Cross To Launch In Early 2015
Maruti Suzuki had revealed quite a few interesting models at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi. Among them was their new crossover vehicle, which is based on the their SX4 sedan. The Japanese manufacturer calls their new crossover the SX4 S-Cross.
Suzuki has already launched this car in various markets around the world. It recently launched the vehicle Down Under, where it became an instant hit. The SX4 S-Cross is India bound and is expected to be available in a showroom close to you by early 2015.

The SX4 S-cross will compete against Renault's Duster and Nissan's Terrano. It will be priced approximately around INR 13,00,000 to INR 14,00,000, which also puts it up against the likes of Mahindra's SUVs. The XUV 500 maybe a bigger car however, Suzuki could take the show away from Mahindra.
Powering the S-Cross will be Fiat's reliable 1.6-litre diesel engine, which is capable of generating 314 Nm of torque along with 118 horsepower. It will sport a 6-speed manual transmission and could also offer Suzuki's All-Grip system.
The crossover is also expected to be feature rich and will be provided with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), 16-inch wheels, a skid plate to protect the underbody as well side body cladding.

The interior of the car is expected to be packed with goodies and will not be as simplistic as the Australian-spec crossover. It will sport climate control, steering mounted audio controls, premium leather seats, a premium audio system and a dual tone dashboard.
In the past, we have noticed that Maruti Suzuki and expensive vehicles don't go hand in hand. However, we will have to wait and see if the SX4 S-Cross changes this trend of the Japanese manufacturer.
