Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Launching Sooner Than Expected
The 2014 Auto Expo held in New Delhi was a great platform for most manufacturers to showcase their future products. Japanese automobile giant Maruti Suzuki displayed several of its products from crossovers to sedans.
Maruti Suzuki is one of the most trusted automobile brands in India. Customers wait eagerly in anticipation of new launches from the manufacturer. They had revealed their new sedan called the Ciaz or Alivio in specific markets.
The sedan is coming to India sooner than expected and Maruti Suzuki claims it will be prior to the festive season. The Ciaz will replace the SX4 in India as it has not been performing as expected. Maruti Suzuki has other products ready, however, they have decided to begin with the sedan segment.

The design of Ciaz is not Maruti Suzuki like, it is by far one of the most good looking vehicles that the Japanese manufacturer will be offering in India. It looks more modern, aggressive and stylish compared to the soon to be phased out SX4.
The Ciaz is most likely to be offered in both petrol as well as diesel engine options. We believe Maruti Suzuki will surely offer a CVT option, witnessing the success of its Celerio. It is also expected that the engines in Ciaz will be similar to that under the SX4 hood.

When Maruti Suzuki launches the Ciaz in India, it will easily take on the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Ford Fiesta and even Fiat Linea. The Ciaz has been designed and engineered keeping in mind the needs and likes of both Indian as well as the Chinese markets.
The competition is tough, however, Indians have a special liking for Maruti Suzuki products, which will play a major role. We expect the Japanese manufacturer to price its new sedan around INR 8,00,000 to INR 10,00,000 ex-showroom.
