Maruti Suzuki Celerio To Revive Automatic Cars
Maruti Suzuki will be offering the Celerio with an option of a Automatic gearbox, at a reasonable price. This Move from the Japanese manufacturer could sway the mass public into opting for an Automatic vehicle.
The heavy traffic on Indian roads, especially the bumper to bumper traffic in the cities, could spike the use of automatic cars. The Celerio will offer it's customers, ease of driving in traffic jams.

Other Indian manufacturers like Mahindra and Tata have shown keen interest in automatic car option. The Quanto is being developed with an AMT option. While Tata will provide the Zest Sedan, Bolt and in the near future the Nano with AMT.

Contrary to traditional belief, the AMT option will deliver superior fuel economy. It will be on par and sometimes greater than manual transmission cars. The Celerio automatic will be an affordable and easy to maintain car, explains Suzuki officials.

Maruti Suzuki will only be charging a premium of Rs. 39,000 for the easier to drive Automatic Celerio.
