Mahindra Recalling Scorpio Due To Faulty Pressure Valves
Mahindra & Mahindra will be recalling its popular SUV the Scorpio in India. The recall will affect 23,519 vehicles as there is an issue with the pressure valves. Only the EX trim of Scorpio has the issue and is being recalled.
India's largest utility vehicle manufacturer has confirmed the recall will affect Scorpios manufactured between May, 2012 to November, 2013. Mahindra official confirm that the faulty pressure valve issue is only in the EX trim and during the said months. Other vehicles in their lineup will not suffer from this issue.
Mahindra officials have confirmed that the vehicles in question will be examined by their experts. The faulty pressure valve will be replaced by the Indian manufacturer free of cost, if found defective. Mahindra engineers have found their valves to be inconsistent in some cases.

The Indian manufacturer had previously ordered a recall for the same issue in similar trim level. However, that time the models in question were manufactured between October to November, 2013. The issue was resolved as Mahindra replaced the faulty part for free. Back then only 985 Scorpio EX trim models were affected.
Currently several automobile manufacturers are recalling vehicles. Famous for vehicles being recalled in recent times is Ford. The American manufacturer has recalled vehicle in most markets it offers its products. We wonder how safe vehicles are in the on-going recall era.
Ford is the leader in terms of recalling the most vehicles by an individual manufacturer. The American manufacturer had recalled almost 2,95,648 vehicles. Surprisingly India's most loved brand Maruti Suzuki is second overall by recalling roughly 2,00,000 vehicles. Mahindra & Mahindra will want to sort out the faulty pressure valve issue as soon as possible and move ahead.
