M&M Hires 50 engineers To Develop "Quality" Vehicles
Indian manufacturer Mahindra has hired 50 new engineers at the Mahindra North American Technical Centre (MNATC) facility in Troy, Michigan to keep up with the competitive market of today.
With multinational car manufacturers coming up with new cars in a regular intervals, Mahindra hired over 50 engineers from Detroit to get their products right the first time itself. Their aim is to deliver top quality and good performance vehicles to India and around the world.

Mahindra is looking at increasing their numbers in terms of engineers to 200 in the years to come.
The US team, which is headed by Rick Haas, will take care of all the engineering design of the Mahindra vehicles through simulation and CAD designing, while the styling and final prototype developments will be done here in India.
The team in US is currently working on two new MPVs - the new generation Xylo and the Quanto. Both these vehicles will likely hit the market by 2017. Once this is done, the MNATC team is expected to work on developing a global SUV and a pickup truck, which would roll out during 2017-19.
Mahindra has been facing tough competition recently with manufacturers like Nissan, Ford and Renault in the utility segment. This has pushed their market share down 14% to 41.72%.
The investment in MNATC is part of a huge INR 5,000 crore project. Mahindra has lined up for developing five different platforms till the end of 2019.
