Magneti Marelli Motorsport Launches The 'LapTime Club'
Magneti Marelli is an Italian company that deals, develops and manufactures parts. They provide solutions for automobile manufacturers with modules and high-tech components. It is a subsidiary of Fiat Group and has roughly 38,00 employees. The Italian automotive component manufacturer was founded in 1919.
The Italian based company has launched an online collaborative platform for the generation of ideas called Magneti Marelli LapTime Club. It aims to build a Social Innovation Community for motorsport engineers and experts. It is also for enthusiasts from fields of technology and electronics.

Student from engineering and students from other fields can participate too. They will need to be creative and technical, to take on challenges and achieve technological solutions. Anyone who thinks they can contribute to finding innovation with a technical aspect should participate.
Magneti Marelli has completed its pilot phase, which involves 126 users from all over the world. The pilot phase consisted of 20 percent of the Italian staff and 80 percent were technical experts from automotive and racing fraternity.

Magneti Marelli's LapTime Club has generated and developed 68 ideas from its seven challenges, so far. There have been over 550 comments and ratings of the contributions that were made.
To participate in Magneti Marelli's LapTime Club, participants will have to register by clicking on the following link http://www.laptimeclub.com. They will then be able to log into the social environment. Once in they can see the challenged posed and can even help by providing solutions, commenting or even voting for ideas by others.
