Lavasa Women’s Drive 2014; Underway
The Lavasa Women's Drive 2014 is ongoing, it started today itself. The event is in its 6th edition and is held annually. It is organised by Lavasa corporation and Times Of India, which begins from Mumbai and Pune, meeting up in Lavasa.

The Drive is a rally to generate additional funds for Women's Cancer Initiative of Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. It is organised around International Women's Day ie. early March. They also create awareness about other types of Cancer affecting Women.

This year Lavasa Women's Drive witnessed 1000+ women participants. The drive was held between Mumbai and Pune.
Lavasa Women’s Drive 2014 Pune Flag Off
The Pune flag off was amongst Bollywood fraternity like, Hasleen Kaur, Kirti Kulhari and Purab Kohli. All in all 150 cars flagged off from Pune.
Lavasa Women’s Drive 2014 Objective
The Women participated by decorating their cars with banners, creating awareness regarding breast cancer. They were also making people aware of various other forms of cancer that affect women.

The women participating reached Lavasa under Indian automotive Racing Club guidelines. They reached there with the help of a tulip chart, through the 60km patch.

The women participating were welcomed by a special song performed by Shibani Kashyap. This year the rally raised the issue of violence against women and decline of girl child.
