Mahindra Racing Set For FIA Formula E Championship
As motor sports fans across the world get ready to witness the first ever FIA Formula E championship, the first all electric racing series in the world, India's own Mahindra Racing Formula E Team is ready to prove its name at the race which will be held in Beijing on the 13th of September this year.
Mahindra is the eighth and the only Indian team to join the Formula E racing series. Karun Chandhok and Brazil's Bruno Senna are the team's racing drivers for the inaugural season of the FIA Formula E Championship.
The championship will have 10 races in its first season in city center locations around the world, which include London, Beijing and Los Angeles, USA. This race is aimed to raise awareness about the usage of electric vehicles keeping environmental degeneration in mind as well as to give a boost to the Electric Vehicle (EV) industry.

Chetan Maini, Director of Formula E racing and CEO of Mahindra Reva says that the Formula E series has already created a significant interest worldwide and this race will provide the necessary information, serving as a platform to propel R&D to the electric vehicle industry and show the way for a sustainable future.
The Formula E will be a mix of kinesthetic intelligence, technology and design, showcasing the importance of electric vehicles role in modern world mobility.
Mahindra already play an important role in international motorsport, where Mahindra Racing is establishing itself in MotoGP World Championship. The Formula E will be broadcast on channels like Star Sports 4 and Star Sports HD 2.
