Jaguar XJ Coupe To Replace XK
Jaguar is planning to replace the XK with a larger more luxurious car, It will be based on the F-Type.
It is expected that Jaguar will stop producing the XK by summer end. They have already begun work towards its successor. A bigger car that will compete with Mercedes S-Class Coupe and Bentley Continental GT.
The new car replacing the XK will be the XJ Coupe, which will draw inspiration from F-Type. It will be longer in dimension and won't look like a bigger F-Type.

In its glory days Jaguar sold about 54,000 XK models; however, last year they could only manage selling 4,000 cars.
This mainly was because their F-Type has been stealing the show so far, from the other models in Jaguar's portfolio.
The new XJ Coupe will be offered either as V6 or V8 supercharged petrol engine and a very first diesel six cylinder.
The new car will not surface for many years as Jaguar, have prior business and will be busy with other ventures.

Jaguar does have a host of products to offer like the XE saloon in 2015. It will also launch a new SUV in 2016 based on the C-X17 concept.
Since, all these cars are planned for the coming years, we assume the new XJ Coupe to arrive in the market later on in 2017.
