Jaguar F-Type Coupe R Goes Up Against Porsche 911 & Nissan GT-R
Enough has been said about the beauty and performance of the Jaguar F-Type. It's award winning winning design combined with just the right amount of performance makes the F-Type one of the most favoured cars of our days.
So, how does the F-Type compare against cars with which it was conceived to go up against against? In particular, Porsche 911, one of the most beloved sports cars and the Nissan GT-R, the supercar slayer.
The test was carried out by Motor Trend and Autocar. The F-type used was the best of the lot, the F-Type Coupe R, which was pitted against a Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition by MT and in a time trial against a Nissan GT-R by Autocar.
The Jaguar F-Type Coupe R is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine developing 550 hp at 6,500 rpm and 680 Nm of torque at 2,500-5,500 rpm. It's 8-speed automatic ZF transmission allows it to reach 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds.
