Isuzu Inaugurates New Dealership With Launch Of D-Max
Japanese manufacturer, Isuzu Motors has inaugurated its first showroom in the North of India. They have also launched their new vehicle the D-Max, a pickup truck. The Japanese manufacturer will be entering North India first.
The D-Max pickup truck was launched in Gurgaon, India. The price of vehicles range from INR 5,89,000(ex-showroom NCR) to INR 6,99,000(ex-showroom NCR). Isuzu is famous for their commercial vehicles and diesel engines in its home country.

In India, they will be providing the D-Max pickup truck with a 4-cylinder intercooled turbocharged engine. It will sport a powerful 2,499cc diesel powered powertrain. The Isuzu engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Isuzu Motors has a goal of opening close to 60 showrooms in India before 2016. The Japanese manufacturer currently has dealerships in five states of India - Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra.

The Japanese manufacturer also plans to inaugurate new dealerships in Noida, Jaipur, Gurgaon and Ludhiana this year. They will open showrooms in Amritsar, Kanpur, Udaipur, Lucknow, Jalandhar and Chandigarh in the coming year.
Takashi Kikuchi, managing director, Isuzu Motors India told our source, "North is an important region for us, contributing to approximately 30 percent of the total pickup sales in the country."

He also said, "We are observing a gradual shift from small commercial vehicles to pickups, which is one of fastest growing segments in commercial vehicles (CV), accounting for 35 percent of the total CV market."
