IPhone To Assist Parking
iPhone-controlled 'self-parking' system was reportedly demonstrated by Valeo at CES 2014 in Las Vegas.
A Range Rover Evoque equipped with futuristic system was controlled by an iPhone app by the automotive equipment supplier.
Cnet explains, the app was used to move the car, find parking space and even park by itself. The car even reversed and moved evenly between two parked cars.
12 ultrasonic sensors, laser scanner and four cameras were attached to the car. Valeo believes his system could even parallel park.

A CPU has been added which is similar to the cars engine control unit. It provides the sensor with data to determine the best route, to help steering, braking, and accelerating while parking into a tight space.
BMW had demonstrated a similar parallel parking at the push of a button in its new i3 range of electric cars.
