Indian Made Beat By General Motors To Be Exported
General Motors has been selling their hot hatch the Beat in India for a while now. They offer both a petrol as well as a diesel engine option. Now the manufacturer plans to use their Indian facility to export the hatchback globally.
General Motors has been in India for the past 18 years, they have finally come up with an export strategy for their small cars. They will commence exports with their Beat hatchback. They are planning to begin exports in the second half of 2014, with the first export market being Latin America.

As told to our source, "For the first year, the exports volumes will be small at about 2,000, and then the company intends to export almost 30,000 to 33,000 units of Beat per annum to Latin America in the next two to three years. Mexico will be its largest contributor at around 12,000 to 24,000 units going ahead."
As their first order of business General Motors will be exporting approximately 2,500 Beats to Chile by the month of October. They also plan to export their vehicles to countries like Peru, Mexico along with Central America and Caribbean countries by 2015.

General Motors has a tendency of manufacturing their vehicles where they are selling it. In a few years their facility at Talegaon will be capable of producing roughly 30,000 vehicles, that the company will export to international markets.
This is great news for the company and a huge change in how General Motors usually run their business. However, the change is expected to grow their profits by a significant margin. The main reason for the manufacturer to export their Beat is the low demand of the product in domestic markets.
