Hyundai Compact Sedan To Be Revealed on Feb 4
Hyundai has confirmed that it will reveal its first compact sedan model, based on the Grand i10, on February 4th. That's one day before the start of the Auto Expo 2014. Known only as the Grand i10 based compact sedan, the new vehicle is based out out of the hatchback's BA platform.
As a result, the compact sedan is expected to look identical to the Grand i10 for the most part, with the only change appearing towards the rear end where it will feature a small extended boot. The usual design feature when it comes to hatchback based compact sedans such as the Maruti DZire and Honda Amaze.

The Hyundai compact sedan will also share its engines with the Grand i10. While the petrol engine will likely be the 1.2 liter four cylinder, 83 PS, 110 Nm torque unit, the diesel could either be the Grand i10's 1.1 liter U2 engine or its larger 1.4 liter variant that powers the i20.
There's nothing more to talk about the Hyundai compact sedan as of now. But stay tuned for more details about the soon to be inducted compact sedan model. Will it effectively challenge Honda Amaze and Maruti DZire? We'll have our answers soon.
